RD/WOGED Health Campaign

WOGED and Rural Doctors volunteer to help people stay alive at the Buea Town Integrated Health Centre today 17th February, 2024. Community work sometimes takes us to extremes we never dreamt of. Touch one agenda and you're led to the other.

Today, a weekend we were on the field to sensitize, educate and advocate on the need for people to know their health status as far as NCDs are concerned.

Non Communicable Diseases remain the silent killer that many are still unaware of. As rural/community workers with women and girls, the need for continuous education of our populations remains an imperative and today we carried out free screening and education of our Buea town population. Kudos to all who made it. Even the patients are now volunteers in our communities to spread the news of health as wealth.
