What We Do
Our History
Women’s Guild for Empowerment and Development (WOGED) was created out of the shear need to support women and girls during the trying years of the Anglophone crisis which is still ongoing. As an advocate for the fight against gender-based-violence (GBV) and Human trafficking (HT), there was an urgent need to create an avenue to help women and girls fleeing into the bushes in dire need of basic necessities like sanitary towels and other daily requirements. By creating WOGED, several Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) have been reinstated in communities and today have better livelihoods. We have restituted more than 100 women and are following up 30 in their petty trading around the region. Based in the SW region of Cameroon. Our doors are open to women and girls especially teenage mothers from the crisis. We support the vulnerable economically and socially and focus on the development of our country.
